Sprung divan bases are often considered to be a luxurious option as they feature a layer of springs that run from one end of the base right the way through to the other. The springs act as a shock absorber and an additional layer of cushioned support for a soft sleeping surface. Sprung divan bases also help to increase the life of your mattress but can be more expensive than other types.
Platform top divan bases are made from a timber frame and a solid wood top to provide a rigid, stable surface that’s ideal if you prefer a firmer, more supportive sleeping surface. Due to their simple construction, platform divan bases are generally more economical than a sprung base.
As well as different surfaces, divan bases often come with built-in storage that’s ideal for smaller rooms or for those with maxed-out wardrobes!
